Strategies for potential immediate implementation (continued):
• Assign a Deputy from the Kittitas County Sheriff's Department to patrol these roads on Friday, Saturday,
and Sunday from 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM during the winter ski season. The increased visibility of this
officer will help to create a mitigating effect on the illegal parking and allow for prompt enforcement of
the parking codes.
Once per weekend (Saturdays if possible) partner with a towing company to station a tow truck in the
entrance to the Hyak community. This tow truck should be parked with its safety'ights flashing, near the
first digital reader board on Hyak Dr East. This will draw increased attention to the reader board sign and
emphasize the serious nature of violating the posted parking rules. This will also allow for the prompt
impounding of vehicles that are scofflaws (multiple time parking violators) and those vehicles that are
parked creating more severe safety issues.
PARKING
L
f SERVICE
SINCE // +I 192b2
"q-4iJf[d a Op" -44W
