Strategies for potential implementation in the future:
• Work to create a "Regional Committee" or "Transportation Taskforce" made up of all existing
stakeholders in the greater Hyak area to coordinate and create an organized, strategic long-term plan
for the management of the greater Hyak area including public and private properties.
Attempt to engage the Department of Transportation, the Washington State Patrol and a community
representative in the solution seeking process.
Evaluate utilizing a vehicle "Immobilization" device to supplement enforcement activities and allow for
immediate enforcement of a graduated penalty system for repeat offender vehicles (Scofflaws). See
page 39
Expand the pertinent scope of work to include the Gold Creek Sno-Park, Lake Mardee Road, SR 906,
Hyak-Snoqualmie Tunnel Parking area, the neighborhood roadways feeding into Hyak Dr East and the
three (3) large gravel parking lots owned by The Summit at Snoqualmie. See page 36
• Create a website and an "app" containing "all things" recreational in the greater Hyak area and use this
to provide real time communication to the public regarding events happening in the Hyak area
including weather conditions, road work, parking availability (or lack thereof), directions to legal
parking etc.
PARKING
SERV CE
SINCE1922
//
