Strategies for potential immediate implementation [continued]:
• The signs used to display the "No Parking Anytime" and'No Loading and Unloading of Vehicle" should
utilize reflective paint and where possible a "color" border around the exterior edges of the signage.
This will allow for greater visibility both at night and when snow is present.
• Continue to utilize the "Digital Reader Sign" at the entrance to Hyak Dr East and positioned between
the "Gravel lot -North of Hyak Dr" and the "Gravel lot -South of Hyak Dr" prior to Hyak Dr turning
East/South-East. This sign is highly visible and is an excellent source to communicate to potential
parkers that there is no parking along Hyak Dr East and Keechelus Drive. This sign should display the
"No Parking Anytime on these Roadways" and direct them to use the gravel lots to turn around. This
will help to prevent congestion on Hyak Dr East and Keechelus Drive as well as to limit the temptation
for these parkers to traverse these roads and park on the side of the road. This sign should also display
the penalty for illegal parking; $200 Fine and/or Vehicle Impound.
• An additional "Digital Reader Sign" should be positioned facing north on Hyak Dr East at the
intersection of Hyak Dr East and Rampart Drive once again reiterating the same message as the first
reader board sign and directing vehicle to turn up Keechelus Drive to circle back out to the exit of the
Hyak area. This will not only help deter parking along both roadways, but it will also help to ease
congestion by providing clear direction to steer vehicle traffic out of the neighborhood in an orderly
manner. The placement of this second sign will also help to limit the abuse of the shoulder parking on
Hyak Dr East in front of the Snoqualmie-KC Shared Facility.
PARKING
iAMON
SERVICE
SINCE I1 .I4 1922EE
1f6I Vu+Weii VFB7RlHW"
