We see this as an opportLtnity to <br />encourage visitors and overnight stays 365 days of the year. Our recent Strategic <br />Marketing study identifies how rarg can strengthen our band-wrth and practices to <br />increase the visibility of wtrat Cle Elum has to offer to our visitors. <br />Even through COVID 19, travel to our conrnrurrity has remained conslstent and <br />strong. This past spring and summer relail revenue has also remained strong. The <br />locatiorr and travel time to Cle Elum has definiiely been seen as a plus, and it has <br />placed Cle Elum on the map for easy access and trar,rel from areas fifty nriles or <br />farther. <br />The Cle Elum Downtown Association is one of 34 programs in Washington State. <br />We all work closely together to cross-promote our communities and to encourage <br />tourists to continue their erploration of washington by visiting [hose conrmunitres <br />with dou/ntown historical business sectors such as ours. Central <br />Washington, Discover Cle Elum, WA State Horse Park, City of Cle Elum, Rotary, <br />Cle Elum Round-Up, Roslyn and Ellensburg Dowttown Associations, loca} hotels <br />and resorts as ra,ell as strategic placement and nrarketing of our events and <br />activilies, we feel confident that \i',r-- will continue to attract an even greater audience <br />of tourrsts and travelers to Cle Elum wfrich wll also strengthening our relail <br />revenue. <br />h 2A20, consultants flom Arnett Muldrow conducted a community market analysis <br />that determined a high demand of visitors in downtown Cle Elum. By using the <br />previous calculations and using the information provided by the STAR report <br />specifically for the county, it indicates an estimated 7% increase oI weekly visitors <br />in 2021 compared lo 20'19.
