1.All communications paths,circuits,and other components used for the <br />interconnection,beginninq with the County-owned systems and traversing through all <br />interconnected systems to the County end-point. <br />2.The loqical location of all components (e.q.,firewalls,routers,switches,hubs, <br />servers,encryption devices,and number of computer workstations). <br />3."CONFIDENTIAL -DO NOT DISEMINATE (Category 4 -RCW 42.56.42)"markings. <br />4.The County's name and date (day,month,and year)the drawing was created or <br />updatedlreviewed. <br />5.Category [link 7.4.10]4 data and device locations (e.q.,CJIS and PCI).(CJIS 5.9 § <br />5.7.1.2) <br />7.4.13 Virtual Local Area Network Segregation <br />IT shall segregate,at a minimum,the followinq network traffic: <br />1.VolP (CJIS 5.9 §5.10.1.4(3)) <br />2.Network printers <br />3.Each office and department <br />7.4.14 Network Equipment <br />Only IT shall access,modify,confiqure,or physically alter network equipment,e.q., <br />switches,access points,etc. <br />7.4.15 Network Controlled Interfaces <br />IT shall ensure any connections to the Internet,other external networks,or information <br />systems occur through controlled interfaces (e.q.proxies,qateways,routers,firewalls, <br />encrypted tunnels).(CJIS 5.9 §5.10.1.1(3)) <br />7.4.16 USB Storage Devices <br />USB storage devices (a.k.a.thumb drives,flash drives,USB drives,memory sticks,etc.) <br />represent a serious security risk to the County network and public records as they can be an <br />attack vector for malicious actors. <br />USB storage devices found in a public area or given to you by an untrusted source <br />(including the public),must be returned or discarded.Do not pluq it into any County <br />equipment. <br />Those qiven to you from a trusted official source,e.q.,vendor or conference,attorney, <br />consultant,law enforcement,etc.,must be scanned by IT prior to insertinq into any County <br />equipment,unless authorized by the IT Director. <br />USB storage purchased from a reputable store may be considered reasonably safe to use <br />out-of-the-box. <br />7.4.17 Credit Card Data and Devices <br />Credit card and cardholder data shall not be stored on the County network or any CVounty <br />device,including the followinq data: <br />35
