'fhe Dog Park is included in the 20i8 Parks and Recreation element of the City of Cle Elunr's 2019 Comprehensivs Plan, and has been planned tbr several years. We have included support lefters frorn the Cle Elurn Downtown Association, the President of the local Liot' s Club, and thc owner of Whispering Pines RV Park, lvhich is adjacent to the Disc Golf Course. 7. Studies: Please attach any feasibility or other studies that demonstrate linkages between the proposed project and the anticipated tourism impacts. Also please include your operations/maintenance funding strategy and business plan for long-term project sustainahility (how the facility or facilities will be operated and maintained for at least three years following completion). Marry studies exist in the literature that advcrtising and destination branding functions to increase tourism. "I)estinations have realized the importance of developing brand equity and have been aggressively applying the branding theory into their destination development practices" (Almeyda-lb6frez & Cieorge, 2017).It is this impo(ance of branding tbr tourism that resulted in the idea to develop a logo and promotional brochure for the Disc Golf Course, in addition to ensuring comprehensive infomration being posted to the National Disc Golf Association website. Arnenities with no adveftisement rnay be completcly unknown to greatcr public and thercby severely under-used, By upgrading the Disc Golf Course signage and advertisement, we anticipate additional park users and visitors to Kittitas County. The proposed park amenities will be included in our asset managemenl program, and will be maintained over thcir f'unctional lives by the City's Public Works Department. The Disc Golf brochures will be printed and distributed as dcscribed in #l above, but we will also rctain the digital files for future updates. and will havc an adequate stock of extra brochures printed initially ta rnaintain the supply for at least a year.
