We will be releasing sponsorship opportunities, sales of vendor spaces,
donor requests and seeking corporate / company donations.
As this event gror,rs in popularity, lhere will be a growing opportunity for the E4ro to
showcase some of the best in recreational equipment, drawng even a great
number of vendors and participants. This draw will also provide us with
opportunities to seek larger sponsorship and support front those vendors.
Our local retail and restaurant businesses will be asked to help sr-rpport the Epo
through sponsorships, which will also benefit them with increased marketing of their
business.
We will also be seeking in-kind donations of services and resources that could be
provided wtrich would reduce epenses. Many of our local service organizations,
public and government organizaiions have materials and tools that can be used at
venues such as the Expo. Having their participation in providing epertise,
education, tools and resources demonstrates a community partnership and
collaboration in marketing Cle Elum and Kittitas County.
2500 character limt
Application Questions: Part 4
6l Additional lnformation
Provide any additional information which will assist the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee in evaluating your
project and its benefit to tourism.
2020 lnformation lf you had a planneti eveni jn 2020. whether it was able b lake place or nclt, $ease describe any successes and
challenges you experienced.
Pioneer Day Activities did not occur as planned due to COVID and our current
Phased approach. However, the Cle Elum Dountounr Association took a look at
nhat u,te could do and modified the planned u,eekend. We started early with
promoting a July 4th feel in our downtowl; windowdecorations, retail activities and
collaboralive programming with other organizations ufrich promoted and supported
our retail and lodging businesses.
We are using this same philosophy to adapt our BooElum event that usually draras
1,500 family members. With the event being on a Saturday our Associaiion had
been anticipating that there would be a draw from fifty miles or farther and
Suncadia. This year r,rrc are taking components thai would been added and
modifying them to fit the Phase 3 approach that has been approved by Dr. Larson.
This type of planning is already being looked at by the Christmas in Cle Elum
planning committee. We know that there will be travelers, lodging will busy at our
local hotels and Suncadia, rrvre are in full gear lo offer a fun holiday eperience in
dountown Cle Elum.
These modifications to meet our Phased approach for reopening, events and
aclivities will guide us in planning a rrvell thought out response to any challenges vre
may eperience and hopefully lead us on to a very successful Cle Elum Outdoor
Expo in 2021!
2500 character linil
