4.1 Collaboration* <br />4.2 Promoting Local <br />Business * <br />The Cle Elum Do\^/nto\n Association has created several partnerships with other <br />organizations and groups that have resulted in collaborative planning of events, <br />expansion of events to multiple facilities and community locations. <br />One of our most successful events has been Pioneer Day. Each year the <br />Dountotrtrn Association facilitates the upper county plannirrg for this event. We <br />gather the different community organizers; Cle Elum Round-Up, Roslyn Riders, <br />Kittitas County Chamber, Cle Elum Eagles, Carpenter Library, Cle Elum Volunteer <br />Fire Department, UKC Rotary. Kiwanis. Lions Club, Cle Elum Roslyn PAC, North <br />Kittitas County Tribune, Pioneer Queen. UKC Basketball and Triple Shot <br />Competition. including our businesses and non-profits to plan and execute this twr- <br />day event. We also facilitate the planning of our successful BooElum (fall event), <br />and Christmas in Cle Elunr event that take place each year. <br />Many of our Board of Direciors participate in Rotary events, faith-based activities, <br />planning conrmittees and are active volunteers in our community. One of their roles <br />as a board member is to represent the Cle Elum Dor.urtown Association and identify <br />additional opportunities for our association to be engaged in newor increased <br />partnerships. <br />ln the past six months involvement in the Kittitas County Event Committee which <br />uras formed as a result of COVID 19 and the Economic Recovery Committee has <br />provided new partnerships and opporturrities to rn,rrrk collaboratively with a wider <br />netuork of county-wide event planners and organizations. <br />2500 character linil <br />Describe how you will p,onote lodging establishnents fesiaurarlts, and busirnss locatecl in l<ttitas tbunty <br />The Cle Flum Downtown Association is committed to; ongoing and long{erm <br />promotion of Cle Elum Businesses, to vracrking logether with key partners; <br />merchants. vendors and organizations, Kittitas Chamber of Commerce. WA State <br />Horse Park, Suncadia, Roslyn and Ellensburg Douartown Associations, and others <br />to plan and cross-promote activities which drawtor-trists to our community. We see <br />this as an opportunity to increase participation and draweven larger numbers of <br />tourists to Cle Elum. <br />The Erpo advertisenrent will offer opportunities for lodging facilities, retail <br />businesses and restaurants to advertise, sponsor and promote their business. Our <br />plans include \ri)rking with local hotels to offer special promotions for out of town <br />vendois and travelers. <br />Businesses; retail and restaurants will have the opportunity to be apart of street <br />sales, pop-up shops inside stores, and be a part of the prize drawings and fun <br />retail activilies that wll be promoted wtrile visiting and shopping local. <br />The Cle Elum Dor,rartoun Association is actively engaged in promoting local <br />businesses, visiting vendors and retail specials on our social media tools. We see <br />the Epo as an opportunity to exparrd our ability to showcase and promote our <br />community as i1 provides an opportunity to introduce the variety of resources rir,re <br />offer to visitors and tourists. <br />Expo specific materials will be added to our website.
