Cle Elum deserves to be knowfor far more than a place to drive <br />through, to stop and sip a newbrewor eperience a good meal. We ra,ant to put Cle <br />Elum on the map as a family friendly, historic place to have fun and recreate with <br />friends and family. The Cle Elum Outdoor Expo will do jusl that, it will shouaase our <br />community, our businesses, the beauty of our outdoor spaces and places thal can <br />easily and affordably enjoyed by all ages. <br />Data points from: Star Destination Report, Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce, <br />\ne predict 10,500 people will travel to Upper Cor:nty in 2O21 from 50+ miles outside <br />of the county for leisure activities. ln addition, rae predict this could bring 4,200 <br />roonr nights at the average ADR of $106.13, equaling a total impact ol $445,746 lo <br />the upper county area. <br />The demand of hotel room nights sold in 2019 in the county was 49,000 for leisure <br />lravel that includes events, Upper County properties selling 14,000 hotel room <br />nights. 30% of that number, (the average percent of 50 miles or further traveling <br />for events) = 4.200 room nights. <br />lt 2020, consultants from Arnett Muldrow conducted a community market analysis <br />thatdetermined a high demand of visitors in dorrintorrwr Cle Elum. Byusing the <br />previous calculations and using the information provided by the STAR report <br />specifically for the county, it indicates an estimated 7% increase of weekly visitors <br />in 2021 compared to 2019.
