Example: accommodations listing. dining options, links to
dormtown associations, etc. The promotion of lodging, restaurants and businesses
helps to further the entire e)eerience for the shopper and encourages thent to stay
longer in our community, enjoying all the other uonderful opportunities we offer.
2500 chalacter limt
4.3 Host Hotel*b lhere a host hotel for Vour event or grant prqect? lf yes. list lhe hotel.
fNo
l- yes.
5lFuture Plans
Please explain what plans exist to allow this project to become self-sustaining. lnclude any plans for ticket
sales, event sponsors, and other cost-recovery models.
Future Plans*The plans to allowthis event to become self-sustaining are investing profits back
into future shovr,s, evaluating vendor and gate fees and adjusting wlrere needed to
offset expenses and continued collaboration with other events and activities for
cross promoting. With both shous now being over 4 years, I am looking ahead and
evaluating ways to become self-sustaining. lam also evaluating ways of cost
recovery for future, in the event current facililies become out of budget Wth the
continued rate increases or decline in facility upkeep prevents the usage.
2500 characler linit
Application Questions: Parl 4
6l Additional lnformation
Provide any additional information which will assist the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee in evaluating your
project and its benefit to tourism.
2020 lnformation lf you had a planned event in 2020. wheilrer it was able to iake place or nol please describe any successtx ancl
cliailenges yor-t experienced.
The major challenge has been just irying to navigate through the ever-changing
environnrent of COVID. Unfortunately, the spring 2020 show vrns not able to be
held and the fall show has been cancelled as well. There is also the challenge of
marketing money already being spent for 2020 with no income coming back in.
One may think it uas a loss wiih advertising already done before COVID hit, but I
still see it as a success as it encouraged tourists to check out the r,r,ebsite and
social media wlrere tourists can engage and learn about all the great things Kittitas
County offers. When things open back up they will be ready to visit.
2500 characler linit
