4. Real Property: lf real property acquisition is a component of the project, please
explain. lnclude any information of property already secured or evidence of the ability
t0 secure the real property.
No real property acquisition is included in this funding request, nor is any project
component reliant upon securing any real property.
5. Capital Assets: lf capital asset acquisition is a component of the project, please
explain. lnclude any bids solicited and received from potential vendors willing to supply
the asset. All capital osset purchoses require at least three bids.lf you have already
selected one of the bids, please provide justifications in writing.
No capital assets are anticipated for this project.
6. Coordination: Please explain how this project has been coordinated with other
jurisdictions as well as affected stakeholders, Please include letters of support from
stakeholders.
The City has not coordinated with the public or other jurisdictions on the hail counters
as no impacts are anticipated to neighboring jurisdictions or the community.
The Dog Park is included in the 2018 Parks and Recreation element of the City of Cle
Elum's 2019 Comprehensive Plan, and has been planned for several years.
We have included support letters from the Cle Elum Downtown Association, the
President of the local Lion's Club, and the owner of Whispering Pines RV Park,
which is adjacent to the Disc Golf Course.
7. Studies: Please attach any feasibility or other studies that demonstrate linkages
between the proposed project and the anticipated tourism impacts. Also please include
your operationslmaintenance funding strategy and business plan for long-term project
sustainability {how the facility or facilities will be operated and maintained for at least
three years following completion).
Many studies exist in the literature that advertising and destination branding functions
to increase tourism. "Destinations have realized the importance of developing brand
equrty and have been aggressively applying the branding theory into their destination
development practices" (Almeyda-Ibfufrez & George, 2017).It is this importance of
branding for tourism that resulted in the idea to develop a logo and promotional
brochure for the Disc Golf Course, in addition to ensuring comprehetrsive information
being posted to the National Disc Golf Association website.
Amenities with no advertisement may be completely unknown to greater public and
thereby severely under-used. By upgrading the Disc Golf Course signage and
advertisement, we anticipate additional park users and visitors to Kittilas County.
The proposed park amenities will be included in our asset management program, and
will be maintained over their functional lives by the City's Public Works Department.
The Disc Golf brochures will be printed and distributed as dssmibed in #1 above, but
we will also retain the digital files fcr future updates, and will have an adequate stock
of extra brochures printed initially to maintain the supply for at least ayeat.
Trail counters will be inventoried along with other City equipment and will be stored
an d ma intained per manufacturer' s recommendati ons.
