The Disc Golf Course Project will increase tourism by
drawing serious disc golf enthusiasts and casually curious tourists off of I-90 to
compete or even just explore and stretch their legs. The 2020 Hanson Ponds Park
Project will be installing a restroom adjacent to the Disc Golf Course, as well as
improving parking and picnic faoilities. Signs at the Hanson Ponds Park will also
include maps of other parks and trails in the Cle Elum recreational system, which
could direct visitors from the Disc Golf Course into the rest of the City in search
ofother recreational experiences, food, goods, and services.
3.
