Managing the Hearing: <br />The Hearing Examiner, Board Chair, or Planning Commission Chair: <br />• Runs the hearing in accordance with established procedures <br />• Identifies who may speak in this order: <br />1. Staff <br />2. Applicant <br />3. Public <br />4. Applicant Rebuttal <br />5. Any Questions of Staff <br />The Hearing Host: <br />• Sets the presentation mode (Active Speaker Video View) <br />• Starts recording, mutes and unmutes attendees, and allows screen share. <br />• Sets order that public will comment during public comment period. <br />• Records the names and addresses of those who comment into a sign in sheet. <br />• Assists individuals experiencing technical difficulties. <br />Public Comments/Sign in: <br />All public participants shall state their name and address for the record, followed by their comments. <br />Comment time may be limited by the decision maker. If the person has no comments, then they should <br />note this for the record and the Host will move to the next member of the public. <br />Entering Exhibits into the Record: <br />If exhibits are to be entered into the record, they must be emailed to the Project Planner. The speaker <br />will identify that they haven an exhibit, which can be shared to the screen by the planner. Exhibits will be <br />uploaded to the project page of the County's website so that all participants have access to the document. <br />If an exhibit cannot be emailed, the Planner will notify the decision maker who will discuss arrangements <br />to get the exhibit into the record. <br />Technical Obstacles Priorto Hearine: <br />If members of the public are unable to participate in the hearing because of technical obstacles prior to <br />the hearing date and time, the person may email the Hearing Host at or call by 5:00 p.m. <br />the day before the hearing and leave a voice message at . People who notify the Hearing <br />Host of technical obstacles by 5:00 p.m. the day before a hearing will be allowed to submit written <br />comments to the Hearing Host by 5:00 p.m. the day after the hearing. The applicant and/or the County <br />may elect to respond to any such comments in writing by 5:00 p.m. on the second day after the hearing. <br />
