COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS CONSIDERATION OF PAYING OFF SHADY BROOK BOND <br />DEBT AND COVID 19 ECONOMIC RECOVERY COMMITTEE <br />Mark Cook gave background on the expiration of the funds for Public <br />Facilities and the remaining Shady Brook bond debt. Mark Cook <br />continued that enabling documentation was approved to extend the tax <br />to 2032 and that changed the need to retire the bond debt for Shady <br />Brook using Fund 108. Mark Cook added that after further discussion <br />with the Conference of Government (COG); the group declined to <br />approve the retirement of the debt with Public Facility funds. Mark <br />Cook continued that a discussion was had about implementing economic <br />recovery activities and using COG as the lead agency. Mark Cook <br />added that he was asked to reach out to the Consultant that COG has <br />been working with and prepare a professional services agreement for <br />consideration and that agreement has been finalized. Mark Cook <br />continued that COG also recommended to extend the grant deadline to <br />February 2021 for review and award with discussion to allow the <br />economic groups apply in advance of the February 2021 deadline. <br />Discussion was held. Chairman Brett Wachsmith made a motion to <br />approve the Professional Services Agreement using CARES Act Funding <br />for the COVID 19 Economic Recovery Committee with Infuse Strategy <br />LLC. Vice -Chairman Laura Osiadacz seconded the motion. Motion <br />passed 3-0.
