Should a member resign from the advisory committee, new applications will be submitted and <br />the Board of County Commissioners shall select a new rate payer from that Commissioner <br />District. <br />Terms of the committee shall begin January 1, 2019. <br />Article 4 — Termination: <br />Removal — If the Kittitas County Flood Control District Advisory Committee members <br />determine by a majority vote that a member should be removed; the Chair of the Committee shall <br />report that recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners for its consideration. <br />Resignation — Resignations by members shall be submitted, in writing, to the Committee Chair <br />or Clerk. They will forward a copy of the resignation to the Board of County Commissioners. <br />Reasons for dismissal —The Board of County Commissioners may remove a member when it is <br />determined it is in the best interest of the Committee or the county to do so. <br />Article 5 — Meetines: <br />The Advisory Committee shall meet once a month on the fourth (0) Wednesday of each month <br />in the Commissioner's Auditorium at the Kittitas County Courthouse at 5:30pm. <br />Special meetings of the Advisory Committee may be held at the request of the Board of County <br />Commissioners, or as matters arise that require the Committee's attention. <br />All meetings of the Advisory Committee are open to the public and are subject to the Public <br />Records Act. <br />Public comments will be encouraged and will be accepted verbally or in writing. Anyone who <br />wishes to voice an opinion, information or concerns to the Committee may attend meetings and <br />time will be allotted at the beginning of meetings as appropriate to assure public participation. <br />Items may be placed on a meeting agenda by any Committee member or by county staff. <br />Members shall be provided with a copy of the agenda and supporting materials in advance of the <br />meeting. <br />Staff from Kittitas County Public Works shall be the Clerk of the Committee and will be <br />responsible for taking and documenting the minutes from all meetings of the Advisory <br />Committee. These minutes will then be approved at a future meeting and placed on the Kittitas <br />County website. <br />The majority of the appointed committee members will constitute a quorum for the transaction of <br />all business at meetings. <br />
