1. County -wide Safety Improvements <br />This project provides for safety improvements on 7 different road segments to lessen the <br />severity of run -off -the -road accidents by installing guardrail where necessary to protect steep <br />embankments. This project will also include signing and delineation where appropriate to <br />provide advanced warning to drivers and prevent run -off -the road accidents. <br />The roadway segments included in this project are as follows: <br />a. Thorp Cemetery Rd <br />MP 0.00 to MP 3.02 <br />b. Thorp Prairie Rd <br />MP 0.00 to MP 3.51 <br />c. Thorp Prairie Rd <br />MP 5.77 to MP 7.64 <br />d. Lower Peoh Point Rd <br />MP 2.90 to MP 5.05 <br />e. Salmon La Sac Rd <br />MP 1.75 to MP 10.59 <br />f. Westside Rd <br />MP 2.14 to MP 3.94 <br />g. Casassa Rd <br />MP 0.00 to MP 1.12 <br />This project is the highest priority for Kittitas County because it addresses the most common <br />type of accidents on multiple roadway segments that scored high in the risk-based prioritization. <br />Cost effective improvements provide benefits to a number of locations, thereby improving the <br />roadway network. <br />2. County -wide Signing and Delineation Improvements <br />This project provides for safety improvements on 7 different road segments by providing signing <br />and delineation where appropriate to provide advanced warning to drivers and prevent run -off - <br />the road accidents and intersection related accidents. Signs such as advanced warning signs and <br />chevrons for roadway curves to prevent run -off -the -road accidents as well as upgraded stop <br />signs at intersections as recommended per MUTCD requirements. <br />The roadway segments included in this project are as follows: <br />a. <br />Lower Green Canyon Rd <br />MP 0.00 to MP 0.28 <br />b. <br />Reecer Creek Rd <br />MP 0.26 to MP 0.312 <br />c. <br />Reecer Creek Rd <br />MP 4.80 to MP 6.68 <br />d. <br />Wilson Creek Rd <br />MP 1.01 to MP 2.55 <br />e. <br />Wilson Creek Rd <br />MP 4.87 to MP 5.33 <br />f. <br />Brick Mill Rd <br />MP 4.10 to MP 4.87 <br />g. <br />Naneum Rd <br />MP 2.54 to MP 4.11 <br />This project is the second highest priority for Kittitas County because it also addresses the most <br />common types of accidents on multiple roadway segments.
