Box 40917 <br />Olympia, WA 98504-0917 <br />To Whom It May Concern: <br />Kittitas County Public Works strongly supports the U.S. Forest Service Cie Clum Ranger <br />Districts applications for Recreation and Conservation Office NOVA and RTP (winter and <br />summer) grants. These grants will improve winter recreation, keep trails open, maintain <br />campgrounds, protect natural resources, and educate recreationists to improve overall <br />recreational experience in Forest Service lands within Kittitas County. <br />Tourism and outdoor recreation are key components to the economy of Kittitas County. Kittitas <br />County's public lands, managed by the U.S. Forest Service, are considered destination hotspots <br />state and even country wide. Tourists visit year-round to explore the County's lakesand many <br />trails, supporting our local businesses. This funding is essential to the conservation of our <br />County's natural resources and education of our residents.
