KITTITAS COUNTY <br />INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: March 27, 2017 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Adopt a resolution to authorize Public Health, Public Works, and <br />Community Development department head signatures on agreements with <br />Point and Pay Merchant Services <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Resolution 2016-093, adopted on July 19, 2016, awarded the bid for permit <br />tracking software to Paladin Data Systems Corporation for their <br />SMARTGOV product. One of the modules of SMARTGOV is a client web <br />portal which allows for payment of permit fees online. In order for the <br />county to receive payments through the website the county needs to <br />acquire merchant services. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Stephanie Hartung reviewed the Point and <br />Pay merchant services application and approved it as to form. Treasurer <br />Brett Wachsmith has Point and Pay merchant services in the Treasurer’s <br />office for accepting in-person payments. Point and Pay has request <br />Department Head’s sign their own application. Public Health Administrator <br />Robin Read, Director Mark Cook, and Director Dan Carlson have completed <br />the applications and are awaiting authorization to sign. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Adopt the resolution to allow department heads to sign the merchant <br />services agreement. <br /> <br />HANDLING: None <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution, Point and Pay Application, and Point and Pay Merchant <br />Services Agreement <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Jim Goeben, IT Director
