bridge. .Mark Cook stated that KPFF is familiar with the county's <br />bridges since they have performed bridge inspections under a separate <br />task order. Discussion was held. Vice -Chairman Brett Wachsmith made <br />a motion to approve Resolution 2019-098 to Authorize the Chair's <br />Signature on KPFF Task Order No. 18 - Special Haul Vehicle Load <br />Ratings. Commissioner Laura Osiadacz seconded the motion. Motion <br />passed 3-0. <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON <br />SUPPLEMENT NO. 2 TO KPFF TASK ORDER NO. 16 BIG BOULDER CREEK BRIDGE <br />REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br />Mark Cook gave background on the project at Big Boulder Creek and <br />stated that staff conducted a Mandatory pre-bid site visit and only <br />three (3) contractors attended. Mark Cook continued that all three <br />(3) contractors declined to bid on the project as proposed but one (1) <br />suggested they would bid with an alternate design. Marr Cook added <br />that this dialogue showed the need to issue an addendum for the <br />project for an alternate project. Mark Cook stated that this Task <br />Order is for the additional work needed to make necessary changes and <br />issue addendum documents. Discussion was held. Vice -Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith made a motion to approve Resolution 2019-099 to Authorize <br />the Chair's Signature on Supplement No. 2 to KPFF Task Order No. 16 <br />Big Boulder Creek Bridge Replacement Project. Commissioner Laura <br />Osiadacz seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0. <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON <br />CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 WITH BIG R BRIDGE - BIG BOULDER CREEK BRIDGE <br />REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br />Mark Cook stated that the bridge for Big Boulder Creek needs to be <br />altered to reflect the changes to the project in the addendum to be <br />issued. Mark Cook continued that this change order is to add running <br />planks and remove gravel pans. Discussion was held. Vice -Chairman <br />Brett Wachsmith made a motion to approve Resolution 2019-100 <br />Authorizing the Chair's Signature on Change Order No. 1 with Bridge R <br />Bridge - Big Boulder Creek Bridge Replacement. Commissioner Laura <br />Osiadacz seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0. <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE CITY OF CLE ELUM, WA SUPPORTING UTILITY EXTENSION TO THE NEW <br />UPPER COUNTY SHOP AT 51 NO. 5 MINE ROAD, CLE ELUM, WA <br />Mark Cook gave background on the project for the new Upper County Shop <br />facility and the placement of utilities. Mark Cook stated that with <br />the pump failing at the Solid Waste Transfer Station discussions were <br />had with the Cwty of Cle Elum to support an emergency extension. Mark <br />Cook continued that an Interlocal Agreement needs to be put in place <br />and the current agreement is drafted for services from the County to <br />the City of Cie Elum not the other way around. Mark Cook added that <br />he took the agreement in place and reworked it to reflect City of Cle <br />Elum to Kittitas County for services.
