KITTITAS COUNTY <br />PUBLIC WORKS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST STH ROOM 109 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM JUNE 10, 2019 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice -Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith; Commissioner Laura Osiadacz <br />Others: Mark Cook, Candie Leader, Arden Thomas, Liz Remeto, Public <br />Works; Dan Carlson, Jessica Miller, Community Development Services; <br />Erin Moore, Public Health; Amy Cziske, Lisa Murray, Treasurer's Office <br />At 1:59 pm Chairman Cory Wright opened the Public Works Study Session. <br />Mark Cook requested to remove Item No. 11 - Tipton Road Speed Study. <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION RESCINDING ORDINANCE NO. 2019-008 AND <br />REPLACING THE ACTION TO VACATE MICHELETTO ROAD BY RESOLUTION <br />Mark Cook stated that in 2015 staff revised the road standards <br />removing county roads being listed in Title 12. Mark Cook continued <br />that this action allowed the vacation of county roads by resolution. <br />Mark Cook added that this action is correcting the mistake of vacating <br />Micheletto Road by rescinding Ordinance 2019-008 and approving said <br />vacation by resolution. Vice -Chairman Brett Wachsmith made a motion <br />to approve Resolution 2019-096 Rescinding Ordinance No. 2019-008 and <br />Replacing the Action to Vacate Micheletto Road by Resolution. <br />Commissioner Laura Osiadacz seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0. <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION RESCINDING ORDINANCE NO. 2019-009 AND <br />REPLACING THE ACTION TO VACATE HARTMAN ROAD BY RESOLUTION <br />Mark Cook stated that this item is the same as the last action for <br />Micheletto Road. Mark Cook continued that staff is asking for <br />approval of the resolution for the vacation of Hartman Road. Vice - <br />Chairman Brett Wachsmith made a motion to approve Resolution 2019-097 <br />Rescinding Ordinance 2019-009 and Replacing the Action to Vacate <br />Hartman Road by Resolution. Commissioner Laura Osiadacz seconded the <br />motion. Motion passed 3-0. <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON <br />KPFF TASK ORDER NO. 18 - SPECIAL HAUL VEHICLE LOAD RATINGS <br />Mark Cook stated that recent action by Federal Highways requires new <br />load ratings be done on bridges within one (1) mile of an Interstate. <br />Mark Cook continued that KPFF has been under contract since 2017 and <br />offered to conduct the load ratings for approximately $262,000. Mark <br />Cook added that this cost does seem high, however, there are fifty <br />(50) bridges to complete and with the breakdown it's about $5,000 per <br />2019-06-10 MINUTES <br />N <br />
