CENTURY
URY
E N G I N E E R I N G
aggregate base course mixture. The existing cross sectional shed grade is
anticipated to be maintained. Pavement strength is anticipated to be designed
to support small aircraft up to 12,500 pounds. The runway is anticipated to be
designated as B -I (small) as indicated in the current Airport Layout Plan.
• The outermost 45 feet on either side of the existing runway pavement will
be removed and recycled in accordance with Specification P-207 and
seeded, similar to what was undertaken on the 2018 Pavement Break
Project (AIP 3-53-0026-014-2018).
• The final runway size will be approximately 370Q'X60' and the thresholds
will be relocated to the proposed future locations depicted on the current
ALP.
It is anticipated the runway will not be lighted and will operate under visual
conditions. Flight procedures may be sought and implemented in the
future, but are not part of the assumed initial condition to be implemented
within this project.
There will be no modifications to existing taxiway geometry. Airfield
taxiway improvements depicted on the ALP are being evaluated as part of
an ongoing Environmental Assessment and will be implemented as part of
a future project.
• Existing drainage patterns will remain unchanged and surfaces disturbed
by construction are not anticipated to extend beyond the existing
pavement limits. No drainage improvements are included within the
project.
With the exception of Taxiway C, existing taxiways will be maintained to
access the re -opened and shortened Runway 7-25. Taxiway C will be
disconnected from the runway and will be fully removed as part of a
downstream project. Existing closure X markings on all other taxiways will
be removed as part of this project. It is assumed that back taxi access to
the new Runway 25 end will be from the existing Taxiway F. At this time
no new taxiway will be established to the new Runway 25 end.
• Existing Runway 7-25 signage will be adjusted in location, or new non -
illuminated signage will be installed as necessary.
The following tasks are proposed for completion of this project:
2of11
