ADVANCED ENVIRONMENTAL INVESTIGATION AND DESIGN <br />Additional environmental site reconnaissance will be required in areas where flood mitigation <br />improvements are required outside the original direct study area. Additional work will also be required at <br />the selected off-site mitigation area. The following work elements are anticipated: <br />• Supplemental cultural resources investigations <br />• Additional wetland delineations and stream assessments <br />Supplemental evaluation of flood mitigation design to determine effects on <br />threatened/endangered species <br />• Preparation of biological assessment, if deemed necessary by threatened/endangered species <br />effects determination <br />• Wetland delineations and/or reconnaissance on the selected mitigation site <br />• Professional survey to provide topographical information for the property and recording of a <br />conservation easement <br />• Archaeological / cultural resource review <br />The Cultural Resources Survey Technical Report, Wetland Delineation Report, and Environmental <br />Inventory Memo deliverables from the effort completed to date will be updated based on the findings of <br />the supplemental design and site investigations. <br />The need to obtain a Section 404 Individual Permit triggers the requirement for a wetland mitigation <br />design for an off-site mitigation area, which will be completed in conjunction with the advanced airfield <br />engineering design, advanced flood mitigation design and permit application process. <br />Deliverables: <br />• Draft and Final Cultural Resources Survey Technical Report <br />• Draft and Final Wetland Delineation Report <br />• Draft and Final Environmental Inventory Memo <br />Draft and Final Biological Assessment (if needed) <br />• Draft and Final Wetland Mitigation Report and Conceptual Design <br />• Draft and Final 60 Percent Wetland Mitigation Design Drawings <br />5.4. DRAFT PROJECT COST ESTIMATE <br />A 60 percent project cost estimate will be prepared.
