Collaboration *Throughout the year, the KCHM hosts special efiibits, programs, and events to <br />promote the topic of a particular e*ribit. We uprk with local businesses and oiher <br />non-profiis to co-market these events which increase e&osure for both parties. ln <br />the past and present, ure have sought assistance with the Kittitas County Chamber <br />of Commerce, which has been beneficial. Through co-sponsoring events, having a <br />booth, etc., vrc have increased our presence at events throughout Kittiias County. <br />We epect to continue e4canding our community presence in 2020. <br />We partner with organizations to provide e*ribits, information, or provide <br />involvement that helps to enhance community events. A few of those are: <br />Spirit of the West Covrboy Galhering: An e*ribit on cornboy culture; <br />Jaz.inlhe Valley: Exhibit on local music history plus a children's craft activity; <br />Cruisin'for Hospice Car Show Provide antique cars for display; <br />Ellensburg Rodeo/Kittitas County Fair: Eiribii on event history and provide <br />historical photos and information for display ai the event; <br />Ellensburg Film Festival: Venue for movie showings; <br />Moments to Remember: An annual e*ribit that focuses on an aspect of local <br />nostalgia; and <br />Puget Sound Energy Wild Horse Wind Farm: ltems loaned for annual display and <br />parinership for the annual Ellensburg Rodeo Parade. <br />Walking Tours: Parinership with Gallery One Visual Arts Center, Ellensburg <br />Dounrtoun Association, Hauniing Ellensburg, and more, to provide themed walking <br />tours in and around Ellensburg. <br />We also serve as a resoLlrce for historical artifacts, photographs, and information <br />for events such as newbusinesses, local events, individuals doing research, and <br />more. We also provide space for events and hosting teacher-training activities for <br />statewide organizations. <br />We also partner with other organizations ihrough our e*ribits and programming, <br />such as the Roslyn Museum, the Northern Kittitas County Historical Society <br />(Carpenier House Museum and Cle Elum Telephone Museum), Thorp Mill, the <br />Cascade Association of Museums and History, the Washington Museum <br />Association, and other local and regional events. <br />Our annual Lecture Series is made possible through collaboration with the <br />Humanities Washington Speakers Bureau and potential parinerships with a number <br />of local and regional groups, such as Central Washington University, the Mountains <br />to Sound Greenvwy, and more. <br />2500 character linit <br />5lFuture Plans <br />Please explain what plans exist to allow this project to become self-sustaining. lnclude any plans for ticket <br />sales, event sponsors, and other cost-recovery models.
