Perfonnance and design criteria upon which the <br />system analysis are derived from the followjng sources: <br />o State board ofHeatth Drinking Water Regulations (WAC 246-290); <br />• Water System Coordination Act Fire Flow Regulations (WAC 248~57); <br />• Sizing Guidelines for Public Water Supplies; <br />• Planning Handbook: A Guide for preparing Water System Plans; <br />• Recommended Standards for Water Works, Policies for the Review and Approval of <br />Plans and Specifications for Public Water Supplies. A Report of the committee of the <br />Great Lakes -Upper Mississippi River Board of Stata Public HealOt and Environmental <br />Managers; <br />o Insurance Services Office Guide for Determination of Required Fire Flow; <br />• Public Law 93-523, Safe Drinking Water Act; and <br />o Public Law 99-339, Safe Drinking Water Act Amendments of J 986. <br />Sanitary Sewer System <br />The city has completed its revised plan for the Sanitary Sewer System and operates a new sewer <br />treatment facility located on Owens Road. This Sewer Comprehensive Plan serves as a oomplete <br />inventory of existing facilities and servk.es . These projections were prepared by URS as <br />consulting engineers for the City of Cle Elum. Included are estimates on semce areas, <br />populations. and flows .
