Response 3 C:
Measuring Results *
C Wlat strategies will you use to assist in rrnrketing all of Kittitas County as a tourist destination will1 your
event/project funding request?
Links to the county wide tourism website will be provided on our website with our
event information. We will also link to other events happening in the county during
the same general time frame as our event. We will also utilize the hashtag
#LivelifelnColor in our social media promotion.
2500 character lirrit
Application Questions: Part 3
41 Collaboration
If your organization collaborates or has created partnerships with other organizations, groups, or other
events, how is this accomplished?
Collaboration*
51 Future Plans
The EDA =rks with the Chamber of Commerce, myellensburg.com, and Central
Washington Color county wide tourism to cross promote our events.
Restaurant Week was made possible by the collaboration with 13 local restaurants
and Canyon River Ranch.
Girls Night Out came together thanks to the collaboration with our sponsors and
the 40 businesses who participated in GNO in the last year. We look forward to
collaborating with services that will provide the GNO bus to Yakima and =rking
with musicians.
2500 character lirrit
Please explain what plans exist to allow this project to become self-sustaining. Include any plans for ticket
sales, event sponsors, and other cost-recovery models.
Future Plans* It should be noted that the goal of these events are not to make money for the
organization but to draw visitors to downtown Ellensburg. For example, Girls Night
Out bringing $50,000 dollars annually to downtown retail and restaurants is a huge
success that doesn't center around the EDA making a profit.
The EDA has one of the most diversified budgets of the Washington Main Street
communities and we continue to look for ways to become more diverse and self-
sustaining. In the past year, we have increased many of our sponsorships by
creating packages that allow a sponsor to support multiple events, street furniture,
and other EDA projects all with one slightly larger donation. We also exercised our
various partnerships throughout the community for in kind donations and logged
thousands of volunteer hours.
We will be creating sponsorship packages for 2018 that include Restaurant Week,
which is already a low cost event.
2500 character lirrit
Application Questions: Part 4
61 Additional Information
Provide any additional information which will assist the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee in evaluating your
project and its benefit to tourism.
A ,
