TASK 10 30% DESIGN SUPPORT The original scope of work shown in this task requires an increased level of effort due to the CONSULTANT being directed by the COUNTY to take on responsibility for the Structures and Civil design for both the Story Creek and Lick Creek sites, and the increased level of hydraulic design by the CONSULTANT described in Task 7. Additionally, the new alignment for Lick Creek adds scope for a Landscape Architect to support grading and planting for the development of restoration and mitigation plans. The supplemented scope is shown below: TASK 10.1-Story Creek • Added Scope : • HYDRAULICS • Assist CONSULTANT team to develop design details and special provisions. • STRUCTURES • Evaluate Preliminary Culvert Replacement Concepts of a four-sided precast concrete box culvert directly with the COUNTY. As a result of this Preliminary Evaluation, the four-sided precast concrete box culvert will be evaluated with regard to the proposed length, width, orientation, and cost as pertains to: • Site hydraulics and scour conditions • Culvert wing wall and head wall geometries • Site preliminary geotechnical information • ROADWAY • Develop a preliminary Basis of Design Memo including project criteria, existing and proposed geometrics, project constraints, design speed, clear zone, design elements, design variances, design decisions, environmental permits, right-of-way, hydraulics, maintenance of traffic (MOT), maintenance concerns, and any outstanding issues to be resolved. Some of these elements may not be applicable for this project. • Layout and evaluate up to two (2) horizontal and vertical MOT alignments to accommodate the proposed culvert replacement. • Develop the overall model of the project site. • Develop 30% plan set with existing and proposed horizontal and vertical alignments for roadway centerline and preferred MOT centerline, and right-of-way impacts (if any).
