CITY OF ROSLYN <br />National Historic District and Preserve America Community <br />Slim Runje Field (Pioneer Park) <br />11 .... ______ ~ _____ - -~\ <br />~ <br />I <br />. <br />I , <br />I <br />--t <br />I <br />" <br />Slim Runje Field is Roslyn's largest park (approx. 5 acres) located one (1) block to the northeast of <br />Roslyn's Downtown core. It provides for both adult and youth organized sporting activities . In 2006, <br />new playground equipment was added that is very popular with children and their parents. Many large <br />annual events take place here over the summer weekends like the antique RV show, Run to Roslyn car <br />show, the Roslyn Log Show, Croatian Picnic, Black Pioneers Festival, and softball tournaments. There are <br />smaller events and family gatherings that utilize that park and its facilities. It is adjacent to the Coal <br />Mines Trail and from the park you can take that trail to the City of Cle Elum or the township of Ronald <br />and see the history of coal mining in the area.
