Appendix A <br />Club members will be assigned security duty during all hours of the event each day. They will be <br />assigned to control entry onto the airport property, to insure no one strays beyond event limits on the <br />airport property, and to enforce parking boundaries. <br />Appendix B <br />We intend to use a PA system for announcing and music as part of our event. We will begin occasional <br />announcements at 7:30 but will not begin music and regular use until 8:30. The first cars will begin <br />running at 9:00 and we intend to have last run by 5:00 but absolutely no later than 7:00. As per county <br />code 9.45.060 we request a variance for that time. During the entire time we will be enforcing our <br />sound rules listed below. I include this request even though we were told it was not necessary last year <br />in case that has changed. <br />9.45.060 Variances. <br />From time to time, upon application to the board of county commissioners, further specific exemptions <br />may be granted to this chapter on a fact and date specific basis. An example is the request for and <br />granting of a festival permit. All such exemptions shall be made through proper application to the board <br />of county commissioners and in conformance with existing provisions of the Kittitas County Code, as it <br />now exists, or as amended in the future. (Ord. 99-09, 1999; Ord. 95-14 § 7, 1995). <br />Noise Level Monitoring will take place at all SSSCC event sites. <br />SSSCC Noise Level Monitoring Specifications (updated January 16, 2007) <br />93 decibels measured at 75 feet using a Radio Shack decibel measuring device with the following <br />settings: <br />• Setting A <br />• Slow Response <br />• 90 Scale <br />Immediate red flag and DNF for failed runs. <br />A failed 2nd run results in an immediate red flag and DSQ for the day. <br />
