agricultural,recreational,heritage,and cultural assets of Kittitas County <br />communities,so that tourists gain a richer experience and residents develop <br />pride in their locales. <br />This project will enhance the trail user experience.The protection of lands to <br />provide public access to vast open spaces will funnel user groups into local <br />communitiesto provide a richer experienceof the history and nature that <br />surrounds our area.It will provide for an enhanced quality of life for local <br />residents who choose to live in our communitiesfor the experienceof living in <br />a small mountain community that is connected to our great outdoors. <br />Through a trail(s)that is connected,inviting,esthetically pleasing and user <br />friendly and trail signs that are accurate,completeand informational,visitors, <br />hosts and residents will learn about the assets of the TTC area.This learning <br />will enable and encourage residents to "spread the word"about the positive <br />attributes of the TTC,as well as engenderpride in this asset of the <br />community. <br />Kittitas County Tourism Infrastructure Plan,part 7:Actions -to <br />implement geotourism potentials -the specific action tasks as well as the <br />specific county tourism infrastructure needs directly associated with the TTC <br />project are: <br />Action 1:Open Space NetworklRegional Trail Projects <br />•Regional trail project and regional trail system plan for snow,horse,hike, <br />bike,dog and snowmobileusers. <br />•Key trail links completed-Coal Mines Trail connected with Rat Pack trail, <br />Cle Elum Mountain Bike Park and numerousother trails connecting Cle <br />Elum,Roslyn and the TeanawayCommunity Forest. <br />•Additional miles of all trail types developed-new trails that connect the <br />towns of Roslyn,Cle Elum and South Cle Elum with Cle Elum Ridge lands <br />and the TeanawayCommunity Forest. <br />•Trailheadsenhanced with parking,kiosks,directories and signs. <br />Action 2:Natural Areas Access and Interpretation
