Committee.Having public ownership and managementoccur on the local <br />level helps to preserve integrity of place by engaging with local communities, <br />businesses,adjacent landowners,educational institutions,and other <br />stakeholdergroups to provide input for overall managementefforts to provide <br />and protect assets including habitat,public access and open spaces. <br />•Goal 2 -Kittitas County Tourism Infrastructure Plan: <br />Be marketselective -encourage growth in tourism marketsegmentsmost <br />likely to appreciate,respect,and disseminate information about the distinctive <br />assets of Kittitas County including environmental,agricultural,heritage,and <br />cultural segmentsthat are not as currently well known and frequented as <br />recreational. <br />The City of Roslyn is a key destination for recreational,environmentaland <br />historical touriststhroughoutWashington State and beyond.There are many <br />assets that upper Kittitas County has to offer and a quality trail experience <br />attracts various tourist groups to the area.These tourist user groups are well <br />connected within their circle of influence,using social media,websitesand <br />clubs and organizationsto disseminateinformation.A significantly enhanced <br />trail user experiencein the Towns to TeanawayCorridor will make news! <br />Information will be disseminatedvia these connection channels and beyond. <br />The developmentof the trail master plan is already partnering with the Kittitas <br />County Chamber of Commerce --Economic DevelopmentGroup to expand <br />our ability to marketopportunitiesthat can be found in the project area.(This <br />also links with Goal 3 &4 of the Tourism Plan.) <br />By providing public access,tourist user groups will be excited to come to the <br />area and enhance our tourist based economy.Both prior users and new <br />users will be enticed to explorethe enhanced TTC as well as all the additional <br />trails that radiate out from it.Mountain bikers will be enticed by the fact that <br />75%of all mountain bike trails in Kittitas County are located in the Upper <br />County (see Mountain Bike Trails Map on page 41 of Kittitas County Tourism <br />Infrastructure Plan). <br />These users will become more familiar,simply through use of the trail system, <br />with the recreational,environmental,and historical assets of the project area. <br />Attracting new users to the trailheadsin Roslyn,Ronald and Cle Elum will <br />exposethem to the unique heritage of the area. <br />•Goal 5 -Kittitas County Tourism Infrastructure Plan:
