KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />September 16, 2025 <br />Conduct a Public Hearing to consider a speed <br />increase on Bullfrog Road and amend Kittitas <br />County Code Chapter 10.08.020 Speed Limits. <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Department of Public Works <br />responded to an inquiry by County Staff to conduct <br />a speed study and consider an increase in speed on <br />Bullfrog Road from I-90 to Tumble Creek (MP 0.00 <br />to MP 0.72). The speed study was conducted, and <br />staff is now presenting the findings for <br />consideration. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Conduct a Public Hearing on September 16, 2025, <br />at 2:00 pm to consider a speed increase on Bullfrog <br />Road and amend Kittitas County Code Section <br />10.08.020 Speed Limits and receive public <br />testimony. <br />HANDLING: Return one signed Ordinance to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Engineer's Report, Ordinance; KCC 10.08.020 <br />LEAD STAFF: Josh Fredrickson, Public Works Director <br />
