KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: June 17, 2025 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Authorize the Public Works <br />Director to execute a Task Order with Natural Waters LLC to support <br />Hydrology and Hydraulic design of the Hungry Junction Widening <br />Proj ect. <br />BACKGROUND: Public Works has been awarded funds through the County Road <br />Administration Board's (CRAB) Rural Arterial Program (RAP). The <br />design of the improvements includes a structure replacement at the <br />intersection of Hungry Junction and Faust Road. <br />Public Works staff are leading the design efforts of the project <br />including project management and civil design. Consultant services <br />are needed for some disciplines necessary to complete the design, <br />including Hydrology and Hydraulic (H&H) technical assistance. <br />Public Works has requested a scope and fee from an On -Call <br />consultant, Natural Waters LLC, for design and construction support <br />of the project. The contract amount is $80,000 and Natural Waters <br />will be under contract through the end of 2027. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to Authorize the Public Works Director to <br />execute a Task Order with Natural Waters LLC to support Hydrology <br />and Hydraulic design of the Hungry Junction Widening Project. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; On -Call Scope and Fee <br />LEAD STAFF: Cameron Curtis, County Engineer <br />
