Central Services Charter <br /> <br />Purpose Statement: Central Services Committee serves the Board of County <br />Commissioners and Management Team by providing the following functions: <br /> <br />1) Providing comprehensive updates to Management Team, and the BOCC on Central <br />Services related topics including: <br />• Budget Updates: Year-end reports, current year expense/revenues trends, future <br />expense/revenue projections <br />• IT Updates: Projects and updates which affect enterprise-wide operations <br />• Maintenance Updates: Major project updates and planning <br />• HR Updates: Personnel trends and beneflt program changes <br />• Risk Management Updates: Enterprise-wide risk management trends and issues <br />• Special reports as requested by BOCC/Management Team <br />2) Review, analyze, and provide feedback on cross-departmental projects enroute to <br />recommendation and approval by Management Team and/or the BOCC. Projects that <br />should receive Central Services review include: <br />• Projects, products, or services that obligate resources from department(s) outside <br />the responsibility /authority of the project sponsor. <br />• Projects that will affect the county network or require IT resources/assistance. <br />• Projects that are referred to Central Services for additional analysis by a central <br />service department, Management Team and/or the BOCC. <br />The objective of the Central Services Committee is to assist project sponsors with the <br />following: <br />• Identify, assess and provide analysis regarding project technology needs. <br />• Identify, assess and provide analysis regarding project maintenance and facility <br />needs. <br />• Identify, assess and provide analysis regarding project employment law and labor <br />relations requirements. <br />• Identify, assess and provide analysis regarding project budget and flnance needs. <br />• Identify, assess, and provide analysis regarding areas of potential risks and <br />exposures to the County, its employees, property, and the general public. <br />• Identify, assess, and provide analysis for county-wide risk management and safety <br />programs. <br />• Other considerations as required/requested: records management, security, safety, <br />etc…
