5/30/2017 MINUTES 1 COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM SPECIAL MEETING TUESDAY 9:00 A.M. MAY 30, 2017 Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice Chairman Laura Osiadacz and Commissioner Obie O’Brien. Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mark Cook, Public Works Director; Jill Scheffer, KVEC Director and two member of the public. REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Jewell opened the Office Administration meeting. CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar. PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County Employee Personnel Action forms and vouchers. CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week ending May 26, 2017. UPDATE HYAK DRIVE COMMISSIONERS Commissioner Osiadacz provided an e-mail she received from Scott Sumner, Hyak Resident for the Board’s review. She stated that she asked Public Works Director Mark Cook to attend the meeting to share his proposed solutions for consideration. Mark Cook, Public Works Director reviewed his proposed course of action (striping the centerline of Hyak Drive and adding fog lines to constrict the travel lanes to 10 feet each) in response to an e- mail Commissioner Osiadacz received from a concerned Hyak resident. The Board indicated their support but noted that depending on how well this fixes the problem/concerns being expressed they may have to re-group and come up with additional ideas.
