KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: April 7, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to select Fehr and Peers <br />along with SCJ Alliance for Professional Transportation <br />Planning and Related Engineering Services Contracts <br />supporting Public Works for up to a Three -Year Period and <br />Authorize the Public Works Director to execute said <br />Contracts. <br />BACKGROUND: PW relays on consultants in the absence of County <br />transportation modeling/planning expertise. On <br />01/21/2020; the Department requested and received <br />permission from the Board to solicit for professional <br />services (consistent with state law and County policy). <br />Responders provided qualifications for review on <br />02/13/2020. Staff has completed review of responder <br />information and recommends the selection of Fehr and <br />Peers along with SCJ Alliance for standard professional <br />contracts. The contracts are in place for a two-year base <br />period with a third potential year if mutually agreed upon. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve a Resolution to select Fehr and Peers along with <br />SCJ Alliance for Professional Transportation Planning and <br />Related Engineering Services Contracts supporting Public <br />Works for up to a Three -Year Period and Authorize the <br />Public Works Director to execute said Contracts. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
