Nanum Street, #113A
Ellensburg, WA 98926

Dear Ms. McKean,

Thank you for the opportunity to work on this project. Our project understanding is outlined
below and is based on our proposal dated August 1, 2025 (attached). Following the project
understanding is our scope; first by discipline followed by scope by task. The tasked scope
numbering, and language directly coincide with tasks listed in our budget. This project will be
invoiced monthly as tasks are completed, on a lump sum basis. Our schedule of values by
task are listed with each task within this document.

PROJECT UNDERSTANDING
Kittitas County (County) needs a feasibility study for locating a new safety and health facility
at Kittitas County Airport Property. This facility would enable the Kittitas County Coroner’s
Office (Coroner’s Office) and Public Health Department (Public Health Department) to be
moved to one location in partnership with Kittitas Valley Fire & Rescue (KVFR).
Currently co-located within the approximately 100-year-old Morris Sorenson Building at 507
N. Nanum Street, Ellensburg, WA, the Coroner’s Office and Public Health Department have
outgrown their facilities. Due to population growth, KVFR needs to develop an additional
station.
This project is within the City of Ellensburg jurisdiction and is subject to the 2021 (with
amendments) Washington State Building Code and all other codes and regulations applicable
to the concepts proposed.

PROJECT SCOPE
For architectural/interiors
• Program (space planning) development and documentation for building and site.
• Prepare a written basis of design architectural narrative for the proposed building
including building and planning code analysis.
