KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2025 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: October 21, 2025 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Hold a Public Hearing to consider the adoption of the <br />Six Year Transportation Improvement Program for 2026- <br />2031 and the Annual Road Program for 2026 <br />BACKGROUND: Public Works has prepared the Six Year Transportation <br />Improvement Program for 2026-2031 and an Annual Road <br />Program for 2026. <br />Each year Public Works solicits public comment on the Six <br />Year and Annual Construction Plan. A press release was <br />posted from August 18 through September 5, 2025 <br />soliciting comments on the Six Year Transportation <br />Improvement Plan. Information was also posted on the <br />Public Works website along with a comment form. A social <br />media post from the Board of County Commissioners <br />Office was also posted. No changes to staff s proposals are <br />necessary based on public comment which was received. <br />The Annual Road Program includes an Annual <br />Construction Program, Maintenance Plan and the <br />equipment purchase and major repair plan. These plans <br />have been developed and presented as in previous year. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Hold a Public Hearing to consider adopting the Six Year <br />Transportation Program for 2026-2031 and the Annual <br />Construction Program for 2026. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution for Adoption of the Six Year Transportation <br />Improvement Program for 2026-2031; Resolution for <br />Adoption of the Annual Road Program for 2026. <br />LEAD STAFF: Joshua Fredrickson, Public Works Director. <br />
