07/14/2025 MINUTES 1 COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON CONFERENCE ROOM REGULAR MEETING MONDAY 9:00 A.M. JULY 14, 2025 Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; and Vice-Chairman Cory Wright. Excused: Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. Others: Mandy Buchholz, Office Administrator, Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Zack DeHaven, Budget & Finance Director and 8 members of the public. REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened the Office Administration meeting. PUBLIC COMMENT Candice Comfort, voiced her support for the recent recommendations made by the County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC). She spoke to the unkept facilities that the City of Ellensburg is responsible for. She stated that they need a sustainability plan and when they maintain what we have now, then they should be considered for funds towards new facilities. Julie Ann Clemons, stated that she was appalled by the City of Ellensburg Council comments on July 7th regarding the City Pool. She stated that she appreciates the decisions that the County LTAC made and echo’s Candice’s comments. She said the City needs to get it together. Jennifer Patterson, explained that the City of Ellensburg is not making an effort to seek funding from other agencies and before they throw a fit about the County LTAC recommendation, they should try and exhaust all other options for funding. She felt LTAC made the right call. Issac Comfort, stated that the City of Ellensburg needs to take care of the pool, and you don’t get more responsibilities when you can’t care of the ones you already have. Chairman Osiadacz stated that the Board received an email of comments from Joylyn Schneider, which supported the County LTAC recommendations. AGREEMENT BUGS AND FLIES INC. AUDITOR
