KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />November 19, 2024 <br />Request to Approve a Notice of Call for Sealed Bids to <br />Supply 40' x 16' Steel Modular Bridge. <br />BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Flood Control Zone District has <br />programmed the construction of the Whiskey Creek Siphon <br />Project for 2025. To meet this schedule, a bridge must be <br />procured separately from the rest of the project. During the <br />November 121h, 2024 Public Works Study Session staff <br />received direction from the Board of County <br />Commissioners to prepare bid documents required for <br />bridge procurement. Kittitas County requires the design, <br />fabrication, finishing and delivering of a steel modular <br />bridge. <br />This project is funded through the Flood Control Zone <br />District levy and is included in the 2024 and 2025 Flood <br />Control Zone District annual budgets. <br />A notice of call for bids is advertised in the newspaper of <br />record. <br />Bids are scheduled to be received on December 5th, 2024, <br />at 10 am at the Public Works office. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Notice of Call for Sealed Bids and Advertise <br />as requested to Supply 40' x 16" Steel Modular Bridge. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Call for Sealed Bids <br />LEAD STAFF: Arden Thomas, Water Resource Program Manager. <br />
