MAY 21, 2024 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman <br />Osiadacz; and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mandy Buchholz, Office <br />Administrator; Chad Bala, CDS Director; Josh Fredrickson, Public <br />Works Director; Shelise Smithgall, Administrative Assistant; <br />Stephanie Hartung, Chief Civil Deputy Prosecutor; Arden Thomas, <br />Water Resource Program Manager; and one member of the public. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING AMEND COUNTY CODE 2.04.010 CDS <br />At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />Amending Kittitas County Code Chapter 2.04.010 to allow Kittitas <br />County Community Development Services Department to hold two Study <br />Sessions per month. <br /> CHAD BALA, CDS DIRECTOR, provided a Staff Report and requested to <br />amend the Kittitas County Code to reflect Community Development <br />Services to hold two Study Sessions per month with the Board of <br />County Commissioners. <br /> THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> ORDINANCE 2024-005 AMEND COUNTY CODE 2.04.010 CDS VICE-CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ moved to approve Ordinance No. 2024-005, <br />Amending Kittitas County Code Chapter 2.04, Regarding the Kittitas <br />County Board of Commissioners Regularly Scheduled Community <br />Development Services Study Sessions. COMMISSIONER WRIGHT seconded. <br />Motion carried 3-0. PUBLIC HEARING AMEND COUNTY CODE 1.04 PROSECUTOR <br />At 2:02 p.m. CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />Amending Kittitas County Code Section 1.04. <br /> STEPHANIE HARTUNG, CHIEF CIVIL DEPUTY, reviewed a Staff Report and <br />said it had been determined through review that the Kittitas County <br />Prosecuting Attorney’s office did not have authority designated in <br />the Code to correct scrivener’s errors and/or minor inconsistencies <br />in the Code, which do not affect the rights of the citizens of <br />Kittitas County.
