ORDINANCE 2024-006 AMEND COUNTY CODE 1.04 PROSECUTOR VICE-CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ moved to approve Ordinance No. 2024-006, To <br />Amend Chapter 1.04 of the Kittitas County Code. COMMISSIONER WRIGHT <br />seconded. Motion carried 3-0. PUBLIC HEARING LEASE - JASON HONE PUBLIC WORKS <br />At approximately 2:04 p.m. CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH opened a Public <br />Hearing to consider a Lease with Jason Hone for property located at <br />the Kittitas County Airport, Bowers Field. <br /> JOSH FREDRICKSON, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR, reviewed a Staff Report and <br />said Jason Hone requested to lease Lot H 14-B of the Bowers Field <br />Binding Site Plan for the purpose of constructing a private airplane <br />hangar. The lease rate is set at $0.16 per square foot for the <br />standard lease term of thirty (30) years. COMMISSIONER WRIGHT seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING WATER RIGHTS PUBLIC AUCTION PUBLIC WORKS <br />At approximately 2:07 p.m. CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH opened a Public <br />Hearing continued from May 21, 2023, to consider Leasing of Kittitas <br />County Water Rights through Public Auction. He noted the record was <br />open. ARDEN THOMAS, WATER RESOURCE PROGRAM MANAGER, reviewed a Staff <br />Report and explained that after talking with prospective lessees and <br />the Department of Ecology, Public Works Staff recommends continuing <br />the Public Hearing until June 18, 2024. She said the prospective <br />bidders desire additional time to better understand the drought <br />severity and water availability through the Department of Ecology <br />program to mitigate emergency drought wells. <br />
