KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: October 17, 2023 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Authorize an Interlocal <br />Cooperative Agreement between Kittitas County and <br />Benton County for General Equipment and/or Services <br />through the Department of Public Works <br />BACKGROUND: In 2018, Kittitas County and Benton County Public Works <br />Departments entered into an Interlocal Cooperative <br />Agreement for General Equipment and/or Services to share <br />resources. Benton County Public Works recently contacted <br />Kittitas County Public Works inquiring if entering into an <br />updated Interlocal Cooperative Agreement was something <br />that the Department was interested in renewing. <br />Previously, Kittitas County Public Works staff utilized <br />equipment owned by Benton County Public Works for use <br />in chip sealing City of Ellensburg streets. Having this <br />option as an additional resource is useful to the Road <br />Maintenance Division. <br />The Prosecuting Attorney's Office reviewed the updated <br />Interlocal Cooperative Agreement and had no changes as it <br />was presented. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works; Prosecuting Attorney's Office; Benton <br />County <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution Authorizing an Interlocal <br />Agreement between Kittitas County and Benton County for <br />General Equipment and/or Services through the <br />Department of Public Works <br />HANDLING: Return two originals to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; Interlocal Cooperative Agreement <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
