KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, WEBEX <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM January 11, 2021 <br />Board members present via WebEx: Chairman Brett Wachsmith and <br />Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br />Others via WebEx: Dan Carlson, Mike Flory, Pat Nicholson, and <br />Jessica Miller Community Development Services; Mark Cook, Arden <br />Thomas, Nicole Ogan, Rebecca Cruse, Joshua Fredrickson and <br />Candie Leader, Public Works; Neil Caulkins, Prosecuting <br />Attorney; and five (5) members of the public. <br />At 1:31 pm Chairman Brett Wachsmith opened the Community <br />Development Services Study Session. <br />2020 CDS PERMIT ACTIVITY <br />CDS Director Dan Carlson presented the 2020 end of year numbers <br />for Building permits, Planning projects and Fire Marshal <br />activity. CDS began using the SmartGov software about the middle <br />of 2017. We now have three full years of data and are able to <br />use the reporting tools available on the software. <br />2020 FIRE MARSHAL INSPECTION/INVESTIGATION ACTIVITY <br />CDS Director Dan Carlson presented the 2020 end of the year <br />numbers for the inspections completed by the Fire Marshal <br />Department. The Fire Marshal Department conducted over 50 fire <br />investigations where 4 suspects were apprehended and charged for <br />arson from their investigations. <br />TIMELINES FOR SHORELINE MASTER PROGRAM AND CRITICAL AREAS <br />ORDINANCE UPDATES <br />CDS Director Dan Carlson presented. Our Shoreline Master Program <br />periodic update is due June 13, 2020. For this year there are <br />some minor amendments because recently we had adopted the <br />Shoreline Master Program and had also adopted changes that came <br />out of the settlement agreement with the Yakima Nation.
