KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: November 3, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Designate the Public <br />Works Director as Applicant Agent and County Engineer <br />as Alternate Applicant Agent Representing the County for <br />future Federally Declared Disasters <br />BACKGROUND: Resolution 2018-123 designates the Public Works Director <br />as Applicant Agent and Finance Manager as Alternate <br />Applicant Agent. Recently hired County Engineer <br />Fredrickson recently represented a mid -west city through a <br />federally declared flooding disaster. The two individuals <br />have served various jurisdictions through six federally <br />declared disaster events. Taking this action now positions <br />the County for immediate response to any future federally <br />declared disaster events. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works, Sheriff's Office (Emergency Management <br />Division) <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to Designate the Public Works <br />Director as Applicant Agent and the County Engineer as <br />Alternate Applicant Agent. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
