KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: July 7, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Authorize Issuing a Statement of Qualifications Supporting <br />Design Services for Vantage Highway CRP 298-19 <br />BACKGROUND: Public Works has grant funding from the County Road <br />Administration Board and Highway Safety Improvement <br />Program to overlay Vantage Highway and replace guardrail <br />($2,194,259). Total project costs are currently estimated at <br />$2,660,000. Survey is complete. We currently do not have <br />adequate design resource to take on the design internally. <br />We avoid match by moving quickly getting a consultant in <br />place on the project. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the advertisement for professional design <br />services for CRP 298-19. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Statement of Qualifications, CRP 298-19 design services. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
