KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: September 3, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Hold a Public Hearing to Consider a Speed <br />Reduction on Taneum Road East and Amend <br />Kittitas County Code Section 10.08.020 and Section <br />10.08.030 Speed Limits <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Department of Public received a <br />request from William Stovall to consider reducing <br />the speed on Taneum Road East from Mile Post <br />(MP) 1.00 to MP 2.84. Two separate speed studies <br />have been conducted (April and July 2019). <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Maintain 50 Miles Per Hour (MPH) along Taneum <br />Road East from MP 1.0 to MP 2.84. <br />HANDLING: Return one Ordinance to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Ordinance with requested changes, Engineer's <br />Report <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook, Director <br />
