KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: July 2, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Award the Contract for <br />the Big Boulder Creek Bridge Replacement Project (Project <br />No. RC 1595/CRP No. 296-18) and Authorize the <br />Director's Signature on Contract Documents. <br />BACKGROUND: Public Works opened construction bids for the Big Boulder <br />Creek Bridge Replacement Project (Project No. <br />RC1595/CRP No. 296-18) on June 27, 2019. Three bidders <br />responded and the lowest responsible bidder is Thayer <br />Excavating, Ellensburg, WA in the amount of $92,106. <br />The Engineer's estimate is $101,197. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to Award the Contract for the Big <br />Boulder Creek Bridge Replacement Project (Project No. <br />RC1595/CRP No. 296-18) to Thayer Excavating and <br />authorize the Director's signature on contract documents <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
