KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: August 7, 2018 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Designate <br />Kittitas County Applicant Agent and Assign New <br />Alternate Applicant Agent for Presidential Disaster <br />Declaration FEMA 1963 -DR -WA January 2011 <br />Flood Event XR2003 and FEMA 4188 -DR -WA <br />Naneum Creek Canyon Aerial Seeding XR3500. <br />BACKGROUND: On October 17, 2017 by Resolution 2017-168 Mark <br />Cook was designated as applicant agent for <br />Presidential Disaster Declarations and Lucas Huck <br />as alternate applicant agent. On July 27, 2018 staff <br />was notified by email that an updated designation <br />form is required due to the departure of Lucas <br />Huck from employment at Kittitas County. Staff is <br />requesting that the Finance Manager, Liz Remeto <br />be appointed as alternate applicant agent for <br />previous and new Presidential Disaster <br />Declarations. <br />INTERACTION: <br />These representatives are authorized on behalf of <br />Kittitas County to execute all contracts, certify <br />completion of projects, request payments and <br />prepare all required documentation for funding <br />requirements. <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Public Works requests that the Board of County <br />Commissioners approve a Resolution to Designate <br />Kittitas County Applicant Agent and Assign New <br />Alternate Applicant Agent for Presidential Disaster <br />Declaration FEMA 1963 -DR -WA January 2011 <br />Flood Event XR2003 and FEMA 4188 -DR -WA <br />Naneum Creek Canyon Aerial Seeding XR3500. <br />HANDLING: Return two (2) originals to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook, Director <br />
