BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2018 - <br />TO DESIGNATE KITTITAS COUNTY APPLICANT AGENT AND ASSIGN NEW <br />ALTERNATE APPLICANT AGENT FOR PRESIDENTIAL DISASTER <br />DECLARATION FEMA 1963 -DR -WA JANUARY 2011 FLOOD EVENT XR 2003 AND <br />FEMA 4188 -DR -WA NANEUM CREEK CANYON AERIAL SEEDING XR3500 <br />WHEREAS: Resolution No. 2017-168 designated Mark Cook, Public Works Director, as the <br />Applicant Agent and Lucas Huck, County Engineer, as the Alternate Applicant <br />Agent for Presidential Disaster Declaration FEMA 4249 -DR -WA Severe Storms, <br />Straight-line Winds, Flooding, Landslides, and Mudslides Event Storm Winter <br />Storm and Flood Event November 12-21 2015; and <br />WHEREAS: Presidential Disaster Declaration FEMA 1963 -DR -WA January 2011 Flood Event <br />XR2003 and FEMA 4188 -DR -WA Naneum Creek Canyon Aerial Seeding <br />XR3500 were not included in Resolution No. 2017-168 for consideration; and <br />WHEREAS: These Representatives are authorized on behalf of Kittitas County to execute all <br />contracts, certify completion of projects, request payments, and prepare all <br />required documentation for funding requirements; and <br />WHEREAS: Alternate Applicant Agent, Lucas Huck, County Engineer, resigned from Kittitas <br />County April 30, 2018; and <br />WHEREAS: Mark Cook, Public Works Director, be designated as the Applicant Agent and Liz <br />Remeto, Finance Manager be designated as the new Alternate Applicant Agent for <br />said Presidential Disaster Declarations and said additional Presidential Disaster <br />Declaration FEMA 1963 -DR -WA January 2011 Flood Event XR2003 and FEMA <br />4188 -DR -WA Naneum Creek Canyon Aerial Seeding XR3500 be included; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, after due <br />consideration and in the best interest of the public, does hereby designate Mark <br />Cook, Public Works Director, as the Applicant Agent and Liz Remeto, Finance <br />Manager, as the Alternate Applicant Agent for Presidential Disaster Declaration <br />FEMA 1963 -DR -WA January 2011 Flood Event XR2003 and FEMA 4188 -DR - <br />WA Naneum Creek Canyon Aerial Seeding XR3500. <br />
