KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: March 20, 2018 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approve a Resolution Authorizing County Road Projects for Multiple <br />Projects and Assigning CRP Numbers <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Kittitas County Public Works is beginning work on several projects that are currently on our six year STIP <br />and annual construction program. <br />RCW 36.75.050 requires the BOCC by resolution to authorize each project to allow for Survey, Design, <br />ROW, and Construction. <br />Projects that are currently on the annual construction program are as follows: <br />• Roadside Hazard Safety Improvement — Federally funded county wide safety projects <br />• Fairview Road - replace three failing culverts with a bridge and realign Coleman Creek <br />• Naneum Road — Replace a failing and undersized culvert on Naneum Road and Naneum Creek <br />• Wiehl Road — Road Improvement District project for Wiehl Road. <br />• University Way /BR#88342 — Repair the bridge over BNSF on University Way West of <br />Ellensburg. <br />• Bar 14 Road Turnaround — Construct Turn Arounds on Bar 14 Road <br />Projects that are currently on the six year STIP but need to be added to the annual construction program <br />are as follows: <br />• Mohar Road — Repair the settling roadway on Mohar Road <br />• Kachess Lake Rd — Replace failing and undersized culvert on Kacess Lake Rd <br />• Bender Road — Widen, add bike and pedestrian facilities, update pavement and drainage from <br />Reecer Creek Road to Ellensburg City Limits. <br />• Dolarway Intersection — Construct Roundabout (WSDOT & City of Ellensburg) <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve a Resolution Authorizing County Road Projects for Multiple <br />Projects and Assigning CRP Numbers <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Lucas Huck, County Engineer <br />
